When we think of fearless comebacks, we think of the most experienced and mentally toughest WTA players that never let their opponents relax, as they can always recover and hurricane through the remainder of the match. However, it was British number nine Tara Moore who pulled off one of the most astonishing comebacks in tennis history (if not the most astonishing!), overturning a 0-6 0-5 30-40 deficit to win her first-round match against Jessika Ponchet at the ITF World Tour event in Sunderland on Tuesday.
The 26-year-old Moore, currently ranked No.479 in singles, gave the ultimate lesson of never giving up and the best example that tennis matches are never over until they’re over, avoiding a double bagel with a 0-6 7-6(7) 6-3 victory.
