Iga Swiatek has officially become the first player to secure a spot in the elite eight-women field set to compete at the WTA Finals in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from November 2 to 9, 2024.
The world No. 1 Swiatek has secured her place in the prestigious season-ending tournament for the fourth consecutive year. The Polish star claimed victory last year, decisively defeating Jessica Pegula in the final held in Cancun, Mexico, where the tournament took place. On her WTA Finals debut in 2021, Swiatek was eliminated in the group stage, and in 2022, she reached the semifinals but lost to Aryna Sabalenka.
