Making milestone tenth appearance at All England Club and first since lifting title in 2019, Simona Halep made short work of Paula Badosa 6-1 6-2 to move into the quarterfinals of Wimbledon.
Seed No.16 Simona Halep showed no signs of vulnerability as she absolutely dominated Paula Badosa in the fourth round of Wimbledon on Monday. Across the opening three rounds, Badosa won a tournament-leading 90% of her service games, but the Romanian broke her serve five times in the Center Court match that lasted just 60 minutes.
The fourth-seeded Badosa looked completely powerless against the precise, focused and determined Halep, who gave her no opportunity to get into the rhythm.
