Maria Sharapova has made a spectacular comeback to the WTA tour at the 2015 WTA Finals in Singapore on Sunday, winning her first match ever since successfully playing in the Wimbledon quarter-finals in June.
Playing Poland’s Agnieszka Radwanska, Sharapova rallied back from dropping the first set, closing out a thrilling three-setter that went on for almost three hours. Despite not having played a full match due to injury since the early summer, Sharapova showed some impressive tennis on her way to victory, even overcoming a late-match break when trying to serve out the set.
