Barbie is celebrating her 60th birthday this month, so Sergio Tacchini decided to create a tennis range inspired by the famous doll. Czech Barbora Strycova promoted the collection’s colorful tank and skort this week at the BNP Paribas Open, before losing to Simona Halep in the second round on Friday.
The outfit’s abstract print is taken from the Totally Hair Barbie dress, with the official colors aqua and magenta chosen by Mattel for the diamond anniversary.
Besides this tank and skort, Sergio Tacchini’s Barbie collection includes this cotton T-shirt featuring the face of the first Barbie doll launched in 1959, a visor, wristbands and no-show socks.
