Defending champion Serena Williams showed who's the boss in the Australian Open semifinal against Agnieszka Radwanska, displaying ultimate dominance by extending the win-loss record in sets against the Pole from 16-1 to 18-1.
The world number one Williams stormed through the first set, hitting 18 winners to Radwanska's one, while having only one unforced error more than her fourth-seeded opponent. The second set was more competitive, as Radwanska recovered from a 3-1 deficit, albeit helped by Williams' multiple errors that handed the Pole the sixth game of the set for 3-3. The contest continued to be a bit stiff, but in the ninth game Williams took charge again, broke Radwanska's serve to lead 5-4 and quickly finished the match by winning the last game to love.
