Serena Williams supports Caroline Wozniacki’s accusation of sexist scheduling at Wimbledon and believes there is a “huge conversation” to be had about the issue at all grand slam tournaments.
Wozniacki hit out at Wimbledon organisers after she lost in the fourth round on Monday, insisting “different” standards mean women are given fewer opportunities than men to play on the All England Club’s show courts.
Williams booked her place in the semi-finals on Tuesday after she came from a set down to beat Victoria Azarenka on Centre Court, and the American said afterwards there is work to be done on the scheduling of women’s matches.
