Sabine Lisicki has received a wildcard into the qualifying of the Credit One Charleston Open and will compete over the weekend for a spot in the main draw.
The former world No.12 Lisicki, whose career has been hampered by numerous injuries, will compete in the qualifying event of the Credit One Charleston Open during Family Weekend. The German will try to earn a spot in her first WTA 500 main draw in four years.
The North America’s largest women’s-only tennis tournament is a very familiar place for the 33-year-old Lisicki, as she won her first WTA title there, beating Caroline Wozniacki in the 2009 final.
