BRISBANE, Australia — Milos Raonic became the first man to secure a semifinal spot at the Brisbane International with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Lucas Pouille.
The fourth-seeded Raonic, who lost the 2015 Brisbane final to Roger Federer, relied on his big serve to dictate play against No. 78-ranked Pouille.
In the semifinals, he'll meet the winner of Friday's later quarterfinal between second-second Kei Nishikori and local hope Bernard Tomic.
