Bad weather continued to plague the 2016 Aegon International in Eastbourne on Thursday. Following a partly rained-out Wednesday that saw two third-round matches being pushed to quarter-final day, continuing rain prevent three of Thursdays matches from completing as scheduled as well.
While the two leftover matches from Wednesday completed with Karolina Pliskova & Elena Vesnina emerging victorious, only one of the planned quarter-final matches finished due to the weather. Monica Puig is the sole confirmed semi-finalist so far, beating France’s Kristina Mladenovic in a thrilling three-set encounter.
The following match between Agnieszka Radwanska & Dominika Cibulkova was interrupted by rain twice.
