Britain's Andy Murray began a day of potentially three matches with victory over Lukas Rosol at the Munich Open.
The quarter-final had been postponed on Friday because of rain and got under way on Saturday at 10:00 local time.
Rosol reeled off five games in a row to take the first set but Murray fought back to win 4-6 6-3 6-2.
Murray will play third seed Roberto Bautista Agut in the semi-final at 14:00 local time (13:00 BST), and the Scot is scheduled to then play doubles.
The world number three, trying to win his first clay-court title, is travelling with coach Jonas Bjorkman this week for the first time.
