Murray crushes Berdych to reach semi

Andy Murray was in imperious form as he thrashed Tomas Berdych to reach the semi-finals of the Shanghai Masters.

The British world number two, 28, won 6-1 6-3 with a dominant performance.

Murray broke Berdych in the third game of the match and saved two break points in the next before racing through the first set in 38 minutes.

The onslaught continued in the second set, Murray making it nine successive games to get to 3-0 before progressing to a semi-final against Novak Djokovic.

World number one Djokovic moved into the last four with a 7-6 (8-6) 6-1 win over Australian Bernard Tomic.
