Murray beaten but Konta through

Andy Murray made an early exit from the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells with a surprise defeat by Argentine world number 53 Federico Delbonis.

The British number one, playing his first ATP tournament since becoming a father last month, was beaten 6-4 4-6 7-6 (7-3) in the third round.

Murray was well short of his best and despite breaking back in game 12 of the third set, lost the decisive tie-break.

Johanna Konta progressed in the women's draw by beating Denisa Allertova.
