Johanna Konta became the first British woman to reach the quarter-finals of the Miami Open as she beat Romania's Monica Niculescu 6-2 6-2.
Konta, 24, needed just 34 minutes to take the first set after racing into a 4-0 lead against the 32nd seed.
The British number one's dominance continued as she moved into a 5-0 lead in the second set before a brief show of resilience from Niculescu.
Konta's fellow Briton Heather Watson lost 6-3 6-4 to Simona Halep.
The British number two, 23, led 3-1 in the opening set before losing the next five games to the Romanian.
