LONDON — Kei Nishikori won his first match at the ATP Finals, beating Tomas Berdych 7-5, 3-6, 6-3 Tuesday.
The eighth-seeded Nishikori, who reached the semifinals at the season-ending tournament last year, is 1-1 after losing to Novak Djokovic on Sunday.
The Japanese player will next face Roger Federer on Thursday.
In the late match at the O2 Arena, Federer will face Djokovic after both won their opening matches.
