Jelena Jankovic has won her second WTA title this season, clinching the 2015 Prudential Hong Kong Tennis Open championship on Sunday.
Playing Germany’s Angelique Kerber, Jankovic started out trailing in the first set as Kerber managed to gain a healthy lead over the Serbian in the opening phase of the match. After dropping the first set, momentum slowly but steadily shifted in Jankovic’s favour as the former world #1 managed to swing the second-set tie break in her direction.
Going into the third set, it quickly became apparent that Kerber was running out of steam, leaving the court for a medical time-out at 0-3.
