James Ward and Naomi Broady among five Brits handed Wimbledon wildcards

Liam Broady, Kyle Edmund, James Ward, Naomi Broady and Johanna Konta have all been granted wildcards for Wimbledon.

Laura Robson has missed out having not played for almost 18 months because of a wrist injury. However, the 2008 girls champion could receive one in the second round of wildcards, which are announced on 29 June.

In the men’s draw, 2002 champion Lleyton Hewitt has been granted a first round wildcard having won just one match this year and dropped to 117th in the rankings, as has France’s Nicolas Mahut.
