Hibino Beats Jovanovic for Place in Tashkent Open Final

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan — Japan's Nao Hibino beat Bojana Jovanovic of Serbia 6-3, 6-4 on Friday to reach the WTA Tour's Tashkent Open final.

Hibino was strong on serve throughout and fought off a late comeback by Jovanovic, who bounced back from 4-1 down to level the second set at 4-4.

Hibino sealed the win by breaking Jovanovic to love on her own serve.

Hibino, the world No. 117, faces either Russia's Evgenia Rodina or Donna Vekic of Croatia in Saturday's final.
