Eugenie Bouchard was the finalist at last year's Wimbledon and now she's out in round one, falling to a Chinese Wimbledon debutante without Grand Slam match wins to her name! Of course, a lot has happened in the one-year period and the highly-marketable Canadian has now lost 12 of her last 14 matches, which will be reflected in her upcoming fall in the rankings, to a position in the 23-25 range.
The 12th-seeded Bouchard lost to world No.117 qualifier Duan Ying-Ying 7-6(3) 6-4 and we can only speculate whether this is finally rock bottom or the slump can get even deeper.
