Denis Shapovalov's magical summer continues.
The 18-year-old Canadian made a huge jump in the rankings, from World No. 143 to No. 69, earlier this month when he advanced to the semifinals at the Masters 1000 tournament in Montreal. On Wednesday night in front of a sellout Arthur Ashe crowd, Shapovalov knocked out No. 8-seed Jo-Wilfred Tsonga 6-4, 6-4, 7-6(3) to reach the third round at a Grand Slam for the first time in his career.
