“There’s something about playing dopers in Madrid,” Eugenie Bouchard tweeted following her Wednesday’s win over Dayana Yastremska at the Mutua Madrid Open, which came six years after she defeated Maria Sharapova on the same stage. The Canadian then put back her words as she “did not mean to cause harm.”
In the first round of the 2023 Mutua Madrid Open, Bouchard recorded a 6-7(6) 6-2 6-2 victory over Yastremska.
