Despite all that natural power and innate talent, despite those world-class nerves and his imposing physique, Juan Martín del Potro never seems to have it easy.
At age 20 in 2009, he had to beat Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal to win his first Grand Slam title at the United States Open, before multiple wrist operations stopped his rapid ascent to the top of the tennis mountain.
Eight years later, del Potro will have to beat Federer and Nadal again in New York if he is to have a chance to win a second Grand Slam title.
