Former world number one Maria Sharapova may never play again following her positive drugs test, says the president of the Russian Tennis Federation.
The 29-year-old Russian failed a doping test at the Australian Open in January.
Speaking to R-Sport news agency, Shamil Tarpishchev said it was "very doubtful" she will play any more tournaments and added she is in a "bad situation".
The International Tennis Federation (ITF) provisionally suspended the five-time Grand Slam winner on 12 March.
