Tennis is losing a big fighter today, as Dominika Cibulkova has decided to end her career at the age of 30. The Slovak announced the big news simultaneously with the launch of her book entitled “Tennis is my Life”, which contains all the details about her career.
Known for being a miniature woman with exceptional power, Cibulkova has won eight singles titles, including the 2016 WTA Finals in Singapore, which turned out to be her last champion’s trophy. Cibulkova’s other career highlights include the 2014 Australian Open final, when she became the first player from her country to reach a Grand Slam final, losing to Li Na, as well as three Wimbledon quarterfinals, one US Open quarterfinal and one Roland Garros semifinal.
