Daily Data Viz: The Pliskova twins are the top serving sisters in tennis

Move over Venus and Serena, there’s a new hard serving duo in the women’s game. While the Williams sisters have hit a combined 355 aces on the WTA Tour in 2016, the Pliskova twins have hit 571 total aces.

Karolina is the 6’1” right-hander while Kristyna is the 6’0” lefty. Karolina is ranked No. 11 in the world and just won the WTA event in Cincinnati, earning wins over World No. 3 Garbine Muguruza in the semifinals and World No. 2 Angelique Kerber in the final. Kristyna has been ranked as high as No. 83 in the world and has the WTA record for most aces in a match (31 in her second round match at the Australian Open this January).
