The Miami Open has been cancelled as a result of the coronavirus pandemic while pressure from players looks set to shut down both the ATP and WTA Tour.
It was due to start on 23 March but the Mayor of Miami-Dade County has cancelled it as part of "pre-emptive steps" to stop the spread of the virus.
The suspension of the ATP and WTA Tour is expected later on Thursday.
If the move is confirmed, then no tennis will be played on either tour before the Madrid Open begins on 3 May.
This week's Indian Wells tournament was cancelled abruptly on Sunday, after one case of the virus was detected locally.
