The WTA season will definitely not resume on July 13th, as four more tournaments scheduled for July have been canceled due to the coronavirus outbreak — Nordea Open in Bastad, Sweden, BRD Bucharest Open in Romania, Ladies Open Lausanne in Switzerland, and the Baltic Open in Jurmala, Latvia.
The WTA said in a statement:
We regret this is the case but will continue to be guided by medical experts for when it is safe and possible to return to WTA competition. We continue to monitor the situation closely and are hopeful to be back on the court as soon as possible.
