World number two Caroline Wozniacki beat Wang Qiang in straight sets to set up a China Open final against Latvia's Anastasija Sevastova.
Australian Open champion Wozniacki won 6-1 6-3 against the Chinese wildcard in 82 minutes in Beijing.
Sevastova beat US Open champion Naomi Osaka 6-4 6-4.
"I was focused and I stayed focused. She has been winning a lot of matches recently and I knew it was going to be a very tough match," said Wozniacki.
Wozniacki took an early 2-0 lead before pulling further clear with another break to seal the first set in 37 minutes.
