Caroline Wozniacki to walk away from professional tennis after the 2020 Australian Open

After 30 WTA titles, 71 weeks at the No.1 ranking, a WTA Finals triumph, three appearances at the Olympic Games (including carrying the flag for her native Denmark), and the 2018 Australian Open title, Caroline Wozniacki is finding more inspiration in projects she can do off the court and has decided to retire from professional tennis after the 2020 Australian Open.

I’ve always told myself, when the time comes, that there are things away from tennis that I want to do more, then it’s time to be done.

The above statement is one of things that the 29-year-old Wozniacki pointed out in her retirement announcement today on social media.
