British number two Bedene goes out

Aljaz Bedene was beaten in four sets by Austria's Dominic Thiem on his Grand Slam debut as a British player at the French Open.

The Slovenia-born 25-year-old went down 6-3 6-4 6-7 (6-8) 6-3 on Court Five at Roland Garros.

Bedene, world-ranked 75th, became the British number two when he gained UK citizenship in March.

Andy Murray, Heather Watson, Jo Konta and Kyle Edmund are also in action on Monday.
