TOKYO — Swiss teenager Belinda Bencic cruised past top-seeded Caroline Wozniacki 6-2, 6-4 Saturday to set up a Toray Pan-Pacific Open final against Agnieszka Radwanska.
The eighth-seeded Bencic had beaten Wozniacki in all three of their previous meetings this year and broke in the first game of the match to set the tone against the Dane, last year's runner-up in this event. The 18-year-old Bencic is looking for her third title of a breakthrough season, having beaten Radwanska for her first career trophy in Eastbourne in June.
If she wins again on Sunday, she'll break into the top 10 in the rankings for the first time.
