Australia’s Ashleigh Barty raced past Danka Kovinic of Montenegro to advance to the second round of the 2021 Australian Open.
Fresh from lifting her ninth career title at the Yarra Valley Classic, the top-seeded Barty needed just 44 minutes to dispatch the world No.82 Kovinic 6-0 6-0. Some games lasted less than a minute! The first 16 points went to Barty and the top-ranked WTA player never gave her opponent even the slightest hope of getting into the encounter. The 26-year-old Kovinic won a total of just ten points in this match!
