The 31-year-old Russian, who retired from professional tennis in 2013, announced the news on Twitter by posting the above pic on September 28th, saying:
Welcome little babyyyy girl!!! We love you. u041bu0430u043fu043eu0447u043au0430 u0434u043eu0447u043au0430 u043fu043eu0436u0430u043bu043eu0432u0430u043bu0430 u0443u0438u0438u0438u0438.
Continuing to be secretive about her private life, Chakvetadze hasn’t shared a photo of her baby, nor has she revealed the girl’s name.
This is Chakvetadze’s first child. In 2014, she married a Swiss investment banker with Ukrainian citizenship and, as I mentioned in one of my previous posts, he’s also Vice President of Ukrainian Chess Federation.
