Andy Murray’s bid to win first clay court title is halted by rain

Andy Murray will have to wait until Monday to continue his bid for a first ever ATP tour-level title on clay as his final with Philipp Kohlschreiber in Munich was postponed due to rain.

Murray, who is the No1 seed in the tournament, will resume against the No5 seed at 10am (BST) on Monday.

After a lengthy rain delay the match got underway and went with serve, with the home favourite leading 3-2, before the weather intervened again and caused play to be suspended. Only 23 minutes had been possible before the interruption, with play then subsequently called off.
