While we're waiting for the big press conference of Maria Sharapova, at which the Russian might announce her retirement, I'd like to share with you the news of a comeback of Ukrainian former world No.19 Alona Bondarenko, who is now working to be ready to join the WTA circuit in four months.
The 31-year-old Alona, winner of two WTA singles titles (Luxembourg 2006 and Hobart 2010) played her last competitive match in October 2011 in Moscow, more than a year after marrying coach Nikolay Dyachok in July 2010, while in May 2015 she gave birth to son Evgen.
