A Rivalry Resumes, but Much Has Changed

PARIS — Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova will face each other in the fourth round of the French Open on Monday. It will be the 22nd meeting in their careers, but the first in more than two years.

“It’s been a while,” Sharapova said Saturday, “and I think a lot has happened in our lives for the both of us in very different ways.”

That’s an understatement. Here are some of the key moments for both in the past 28 months.
