The Tennessee Volunteers could be on the verge of another major recruiting coup with under a week to go until National Signing Day. However, this one would be for the Class of 2017, not 2016.
Four-star La Vergne (TN) wide receiver Princeton Fant told reporters that he arrived in Knoxville on Saturday for a visit with the Vols.
According to 247Sports, the Vols are the favorite to land him and could take another step towards sealinga pledge during Fant's trip to campus. More from the Vols' recruiting trail inside our Chat Sports iPhone and Android apps.
Fant's last trip to Knoxville came over four months ago when Tennessee hosted Oklahoma on September 12th. Since then, he's been courted by a wide array of top programs.
The other teams with a beat on Fant right now include Ole Miss, LSU, Mississippi State and Louisville. He's currently listed as the #40 wide receiver and #283 overall player in the Class of 2017 by 247Sports.
