The Tennessee Volunteers offered a scholarship to four-star quarterback Artur Sitkowski (Old Bridge, NJ) on Friday, he told 247sports:
“Coach Canales, the quarterback coach, he came down to see me work out in the evaluation period,” said Sitkowski. “After that, (Friday) he said for me to call him after school, so I called him after school. He was asking me questions and stuff like that, and he just told me, ‘Hey, you’ve got a Tennessee offer. I want to congratulate you. You’re the type of guy we want in our system.’
“And (offensive coordinator Larry) Scott reached out to me. (Head) coach (Butch) Jones reached out to me, and he just said, ‘Congrats. We want you a lot, and we’re excited for you to come down on a visit in the spring.’”
Because of the offer, Sitkowski plans to visit Tennessee over the course of the next few months, along with making trips to see Florida State and LSU.
He will play his senior season at IMG Academy, which he says he is doing to show he is "willing to go wherever in college.”
The 6-foot-4, 220-pounder is ranked as the No. 4 pro-style quarterback and No. 78 overall prospect in the 2018 class, according to 247sports' Composite Rankings.
