HOOVER, Ala. – Gridiron Now’s Frank Frangie and Jimmy Hyams previewed the 2017 Tennessee Volunteers at SEC Media Days on Monday.
Hyams called the Vols’ 2016 season a disappointment after going 9-4 and failing to win the division.
“The goal for Tennessee is to win the East Division and then you take care of the tough part of it,” Hyams said. “You beat Florida, you beat Georgia. You’re on your way and then you stub your toe against South Carolina and Vanderbilt. And then rather than say, ‘That was our goal, we didn’t meet it.’ It was, ‘Hey, we’re champions of life’ and ‘We never said that was our goal.
