For the first time since 2009, the Vols have won seven games in the regular season, after beating Missouri 19-8 on Saturday night.
Sophomore running back Jalen Hurd paced the offensive attack for Tennessee, rushing for 151 yards on 31 carries. Hurd now has over 1,000 rushing yards on the season.
Missouri has one of the toughest defenses in the SEC, but the Vols were able to move the ball fairly well in Gary Pinkel’s final home game as the Tigers’ coach.
Tennessee, however, was not able to convert long drives into touchdowns. The Vols’ only touchdown was an impressive eight yard Josh Dobbs run just before the first half ended.
