Almost exactly one year ago after Christian Coleman set the Track & Field world on fire, Vols junior runner Mustageem Williams is trying to do the same.
Even though he may not have had the same success as Coleman, Williams still made a lasting impression Friday after finishing sixth in the NCAA 200m final.
The performance gave Williams first-team All-America honors for the first time in his career. It’s the perfect ending to an excellent spring that saw Williams win the 200m SEC indoor championship and place second at the SEC outdoor meet.
Williams led near the 150-meter mark but fell to eventual champion Divine Oduduru.
