Kenney Solomon, a 3-star recruit from the 2019 class, announced via Twitter that he’s transferring to Tulsa.
Solomon enrolled at Tennessee as a walk on despite a consensus 3-star rating and an all-state track background in high school. He earned a scholarship during his first season on UT’s campus.
Starring on both sides of the ball during his high-school career in South Carolina, Solomon played cornerback initially for the Vols. He played sparingly on the back-end of Tennessee’s defense in 2019 but recorded his only career interception against Chattanooga. He was also a regular special teams contributor and appeared in 11 games his freshman season.
