Vols DL Shy Tuttle out for the season

Tennessee Volunteers freshman defensive lineman Shy Tuttle suffered a season-ending leg injury in last weekend’s game against Georgia and will be out for the season. Alex Shirkey of SEC Country reported Tuttle’s injury, which occurred on a cut block.

Tuttle, a four-star freshman out of North Carolina’s North Davidson High School, near Greensboro, posted 10 tackles on the season and appeared in every game. Coach Butch Jones commented on the injury.

“Shy Tuttle has a broken fibula and a ligament (tear) and an ankle injury,” Jones said during a press conference on Tuesday. “He will be out for the season.
