KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee fans can begin planning tailgate parties as the Southeastern Conference revealed kickoff times for the Volunteers’ first three games on Thursday.
Tennessee will open its season on the SEC Network for the second-consecutive year when it faces Bowling Green at LP Field in Nashville onSept. 5. The first meeting between the two schools will kick off at 4:00 p.m. ET. The Vols are 6-1 in games shown on the SEC Network, which will begin its second season in 2015.
It will be the second time that UT has opened a season at the home of the NFL’s Tennessee Titans, after defeating Wyoming there, 47-7, to lift the lid on the 2002 season.
