Tennessee assistant coach Joe Osovet has taken a winding road to Knoxville. From the northeast JUCO ranks to an offensive analyst for Tennessee, Osovet put in the time and was rewarded with an opportunity by Jeremy Pruitt this offseason.
Pruitt opted to move tight ends coach Brian Niedermeyer to inside linebackers, replacing Kevin Sherrer, who moved on to the New York Giants. That opened up an opportunity for Osovet, who will come out of the box and onto the field this fall.
