When Jeremy Pruitt puts together his last-minute wish list for National Signing Day, there’s one big missing piece in the Vols’ 2018 class that needs fixing. With one week to go until the close to the recruiting season, Tennessee still has a total of zero defensive backs in its 18-man class.
It sounds unusual, and it is.
Every other team in the SEC, including Ole Miss with its NCAA sanctions, has at least two defensive backs committed, signed or actually enrolled. Florida already has three defensive backs on campus.
It’s also a bizarre problem for Tennessee.
