Tennessee’s rushing defense exposed again in win over Kentucky

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee’s rushing defense had yet another poor outing Saturday.

While the Vols stayed alive in the SEC East race with a 49-36 win over Kentucky, the Volunteers allowed the Wildcats to rush for 443 yards on 55 carries.

“We’re definitely frustrated with our performance for how many yards we gave up, but overall excited about the win,” linebacker Darrin Kirkland Jr. said. “It was win No. 7 for us in November, and we have two more ahead of us that we have to focus on. So, we got our seven, but we have to correct those mistakes.
