Tennessee senior wide receiver Josh Smith has a sprained shoulder and not a broken collarbone, meaning he could be back for the September 16 game at Florida.

UT WR Josh Smith has shoulder sprain – not broken collarbone – and expected to be out 4-5 weeks. Hopes to return for Florida game Sept. 16.

Smith seems likely to miss just the first two games — the September 4 opener against Georgia Tech in Atlanta and the September 9 home opener against FCS opponent Indiana State.
