The fourth-ranked Tennessee Volunteers baseball team won its 40th game of the season when the club hosted the Belmont Bruins in the final home game of the year. Tennessee, now 40-13 overall and 18-9 in-conference will travel to Columbia to take on the South Carolina Gamecocks and look to close out the regular season on a high note.
Mark McLaughlin gave the Vols two innings to start the game, allowing a run on four hits during that time, before being relieved by Cam Sewell, who earned his third win of the season after contributing three innings, allowing one run on one hit and a walk.
