Rick Barnes’s 6-5 Tennessee Volunteers will close out the tumultuous 2015 year for basketball with a home game against an in-state opponent from Nashville Tuesday.
This is the last game for them before conference play begins on Saturday, Jan. 2.
So far, the Vols have been in every game with their up-tempo offense and their out of control style. It has been hilarious to watch but fun at the same time.
The Tennessee State Tigers are a very solid lower-level team, currently holding a 9-3 record. However, they have been highly inconsistent on offense and struggled in their last game, a 66-55 loss to Illinois State.
